Certified organic, in the Keilor Valley. 22km from Melbourne CBD, Day’s Walk Farm is a suburban farm.

We deliver seasonal vegetables to restaurants in the inner North and Melbourne CBD. In addition to restaurants, we supply a couple of independent retailers, and our stall every week at Coburg Farmers Market. Our selection regularly includes favourites such as carrots and beetroots, though you’ll often find new, obscure and heritage varieties included.

Our farm is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woiwurrong people, and I wish to acknowledge them as Traditional Owners. We promote and practice regenerative farming techniques that preserve our soil and environment. Farming is a one-step-at-a-time endeavour. Since 2015, we observe, and get encouraged by, each gradual improvement in the farm’s environment. At present Day’s Walk Farm is converting to a limited tillage production.

About us

Day’s Walk Farm is operated by Paul Miragliotta. He wasn’t always a farmer.

Paul started his career as a radiographer. But a passion for the natural environment found him in management at the South Melbourne Commons, then working outdoors as an edible landscaper with Very Edible Gardens and Simon Marshall Horticulture, and finally market gardening at Somerset Heritage Produce.

His pathway to organic farming was pieced together from huge experiences of learning on the job, as well as completing a Diploma in Agriculture — Organic Production and a Certificate II in Carpentry, Building and Construction. Paul is a founding director of Farmer Incubator.

The Day’s Walk Farm team consistently work hard. They have broad skill sets. A day can start before sunrise, planning in front of the computer, then harvesting, and delivering orders on the road, and finishing behind the wheel of the tractor. There’s always weeding to be done.
